Prof. dr. Azra Hadžiahmetović
Prof. Dr. Azra Hadžiahmetović is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo. She began her university career by completing her studies in Sarajevo, her postgraduate studies in Belgrade and her doctoral program in Geneva, which ended with the defense of her dissertation in Sarajevo. She received specialist education in Japan, Great Britain, Egypt, and on the basis of international exchange she stayed at universities in Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and the USA. She is a participant in numerous international conferences, a lecturer at several universities abroad, a member of the academic network of the WTO, GDN, and IMF. She is a member of the Board of Economic Sciences of ANUBIH, numerous expert and professional associations in the field of macroeconomics, European integration, international economics and gender budgeting. n addition to teaching subjects in the field of economic theory and politics, she is the head of the master's study of European Studies at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Sarajevo and Economic Diplomacy in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. Along with her academic engagement, she performed numerous public functions - MP in the FB&H Parliament, B&H Parliament, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the B&H Council of Ministers, WB Governor, Alternative IMF Governor, etc.
About the lecture
Lectures and discussions with participants will be dedicated to the topics related to the process of economic integration in the European context, theory, policy and practice of international trade and finance, the international economic environment, and various aspects of modern international business.
About the project
I expect a discussion on the topics and issues of integration processes in Europe in the context of global realignments, as well as the trade and financial system.
